Top Notch Nonsense Genre Film Podcast Episode 100. The 1% Are Pretty Awful Vol. 2: The Swimmer (1968)/Eat The Rich (1987)
The two films (The Swimmer, 1968; Eat The Rich, 1987;)we are talking about today have to do with the wealthy and what consequences that they sometimes have to deal with and sometimes they don’t have to deal with It. We also discuss three David Decocteau movies: The Wrong Student, The Wrong Crush, and The Wrong Man. Massively strange and interesting talk about the wealthy and delusional, the deluded and the completely Sickening ugliness that is about the one percent. This is not our first time talking about class warfare and it won’t be the last as all good genre movies can tap into was is essential about our morality, the elite and how they interact with our way of life, often hurting our chances of survival. We also joke about massive children death, What Michael would do as a studio producer billionaire fascist, and how prescient these movies really are. An evergreen topic if there ever was one.
