The Other Major thing and what makes this pairing special is that its one director (Scorsese) doing the other’s style while the other one (De-Palma) is using his style to tell a story that Marty would be offered. Doomed Romance in every sense of the word comes up in Carlitos Way. We also have De Niro working with his regular guy Marty and De-Palma working with his regular guy, Pacino.
